Flavors, sounds, ethnic music, the Great Mosque, calls for prayer, bargains, pushy sellers, luxury scarfs, superior handmade carpets, vivid colors, crappy copy brand products, dirty yet beautiful streets, water pipes, great beaches and pool areas, pleasant climate, children loving population and expect many kisses, good language skills.
A interesting place to visit offering more than mainstream tourism. Do tip the the hotel staff etc whether you are an all inclusive guest or not. They all work much harder than most of us and often live far and way from their families.
The culinary experiences are off course not comparable to say Spain. If you can accept this and enjoy exotic cultures, then Sousse is worth a visit. Do not select the cheapest hotels though, since the have a bad reputation for good reason. The best hotels in Sousse are not that expensive. It's Tunisia with great value for money. Bon voyage.
